I watch as you lay there, slipping away
You're pale skin feels so cool
as i gently touch your hand
So many thoughts and memories
racing through my mind
My heart feels so heavy
We haven't much more time
Your dry cracked lips quiver
as you whisper your last words
The emptiness consumes me
It's time you leave this world

Now my heart is broken

Summer Air
Summer is coming around again.
Reminds me of you and me last year at summers end.
Yeah, you said you loved me.
Back then that meant something.
I guess for a while you thought you could get away with a couple lies.
Then the guilt ate away at you, here come the black skies.
The one person i thought i could trust
was the one person who couldn't be trusted.
Your lies ripped through my already bleeding heart.
Torn apart from the start, now ill depart.
My wounds will heal in time
But will i heal from this vicious crime?
Even though you can still see the blood stain on my shirt
I wont let the hurt show anymore.
That day my heart and dreams broke in two
All because of you.
Sometimes i hate to admit that i loved you.
Somehow i knew lie by lie as the wind blew.
Summer is here to stay as the sun sits above with a burning stare.
