Week 11

Postby Martin Vann » Wed Jul 30, 2003 10:19 am

I aplogize to you all, I suffered a "Cranial Rectum Attack," you know, that is where your head gets stuck in a small place?

I responded with my challenge as a reply, not a new post, but the Seiz, squared me away, thank you Seiz, Now, THE CHALLENGE for week 11, maybe a little longer, five working days, right?

Write about the time that you were so darn HAPPY that it made you cry. {I like Happy Tears just as Steve Martin likes happy feet.}

It can be about the results of the pregnacy test, the police did not find your prints, you got money back from the I.R.S., what ever.

Now, have fun and make us cry..., HAPPY TEARS!

Congratulations Martin Vann! Here is my contribution. I'm not sure though if this is what you meant. I'll just give a stab at it.

YOU

As I wake up this morning,
I see you beside me
And the memories of the night before
Came rushing like a flood.

I go crazy with the touch of your bare skin on mine
And I love the smell of your hair.
I touch the recesses of your body
And I quiver with your every sigh.

I look at your soulful eyes and I melt.
Your lips make me desire you,
Your breath captivates me,
As I languish in the smoothness of your bosom.

The soft, invisible hairs all over your body tickle my nose
As I kiss you softly from head to toe.
The heady smell of your being
Makes me want to cry.

And when we made love
Its as if time stopped
And there is no one but you and me
As we became one.
Live Life, Love Life

Thanks Seiz,

I think a lot of Dreamer's poets feel up to the challenge, the question is, who will kick butt!, sorry, Dreamer, I ment to say, hips! Now, for those of you who have a story to tell, I/We all want to hear it! However, if you can't put that moment into poetic/verse, no problem, just write about it and If, I have the ability, and if, you are the winner, I will try and put your Happy, tear-full monent, into a poetic verse, I owe you all that much, since I'm late in getting Week 11 going.

Well.. it didn't turn out as I planned... I guess I'm just incapable of writing something like that.. but here's my entry anyway..

Before

When I was young, before the drugs
Before the drinks, before the thugs
Before the knives, before the guns
Before my Uncle, had his sons
Before abuse, before escape
Before suicide, before her rape
Before the dad, outlined in chalk
Before I barely even knew to talk

Before hunger, before my tears
Before I ever had to face my fears
Before the one that kicked me out
Before my head was filled with doubt
Before Neil died before Nat's crash
Before I was, worth less than trash
Before CDs became, the next big thing
Before my girlfriend wore my ring

Before everything that brought pain to me
I was just a child, so very free
I was very happy, nothing made me sad
Now I'd give it all, to live as I had
I know I can't go back, before my rain cloud came
But I'll never forget, those days all the same
I always felt secure, with my mother's charms
But I know that I, can't return to her arms
Life is just a game, not everyone can win

You called and said
You were heading my way
I wasn't sure to be happy
and look forward to the day

So many of the pains
started to come back
It was making it so hard
to be happy with the fact

You never understood
who I am and why I wanted to be
this strange trusting soul
who wanted so much to be free

Free to fly
and run with the wind
going here and there
and back again

To you I was just
rebellious and troubled
leaving you sitting there
wondering and befuddled

And now to my world
you come to spend time
maybe your disbelief in me
was really in my mind

Only time would tell
as I waited your arrival
would it go good
or be a game of personal survival

So the day came
it went off without a hitch
we all enjoyed the company
that you would stay, my fondest wish

Maybe you came to realize
over many years time
that i wasn't so bad after all
and i turned out just fine

When you smiled
and turned to go
I invited you back
I meant it you know

For the first time
it was good tears I cried
when you finally said
We love you Becky, with pride.

TO: Bench, Seizure and Lady Becky,

All three works were very descritptive, open and saturated with sincerity. Having read them several times, Seizure's work "Before" really, got to me. His journal of life's steps some obviously painful, was very sincere aalso. After all that Seizure described, he remembered Mom, as I hope we can all remember our Mom. She was always there, when she could be, and reading this work, brought a Happy Tear of memories, back to me.

Congratulations Seizure, you have done it again.
