This should be one that everybody can relate to and have something to write about....This weeks topic is ....REGRET. It was either this or write about a one eyed, one horn, giant purple people eater? I think the first is better...lol. Have a great week!

despair
he was sitting there alone
in the darkest part of the room
staring into empty space
searching the monochromatic walls
for answers to unasked questions
his lovely face showing anguish
the pain of fettered years
etched in those lonely eyes
darkened by secrets and lies
in search of freedom
death crosses his mind
yet he'll sleep on it for now...

Well......what happened?...did Bench and Brenda Michelle pay off everyone so they wouldn't enter?.........Bench....Congrats! YOUR THE WINNER! Hopefully more people enter this coming week for you....everyone must have writers block? Brenda Michelle your poem was exceptional also! Have a great week.

I think the contest just dropped off... sadly people's interest seems to be elsewhere... I think perhaps we should suggest Bench hold it for a couple weeks or so before dropping the next topic.. or we start letting them run two weeks as opposed to one. Just a thought... probably not a good one.
I would have entered this week but I just have too many things going on at the moment. So the best I could do was those three new poems I submitted the other day... I can hardly keep up with the new poems on this site... much less write new ones of my own
