the things that were within my grasp
to make the life I live a better place
to take back the hurtful angry past
I don't know that I would do it differently
If I had the chance to do it again
But I would hope I could change the pain it caused
perhaps doing it without hurting a friend
But tomorrow is another day
and I can learn from my past
so that in the future I won't regret
when the last of life's die is cast
