Finding Peace
Author: KitKatrina

I was angry at you for such a long time,
I thought it through and made up my mind,
You had done the right thing all along,
And I thank you for helping me be strong,
Through hard times you were always there,
You helped me through times I couldnít bear,
When I needed a friend you were the one,
I confided in you, something I havenít done,
You were the one I blamed for his death,
But you were by my side, you never even left,
Itís strange loving someone like you this much,
I canít see or hear you, or even feel your touch,
I know youíre here, & you did what was right,
My dad shouldnít of had to put up a fight,
Itís wrong to blame you for what youíve done,
You did the right thing, youíre the only one,
I need to be at peace with what you did,
I was only 13 and still such a young kid,
I can understand being angry when he died,
I know that for so long you had tried,
I must be at peace with his death and you,
I found that peace from what Iíve gone through,
My father will always be with me somehow,
In my mind and my heart he is right now,
Rest in peace daddy, Iím at peace now too,
Youíll always be with me, & Iíll always love you...

------- Author's Notes -------

I used to be so angry with God for taking my dad at such a young age. He was only 50, and I was only 13. I miss him more than anything, but after 3 years, I finally feel at peace with his passing. My dad was very sick, and in pain, and I'm just glad he didn't have to feel it much longer.

Finding Peace was indeed a good read! Tragic ending about your father, but I'm contented in knowing that you've found serenity; even in the toughest of times. Wonderful KitKatrina!
