Capture The Smile Of God, Then Share It With All

When I was a child, I'd catch rainbows after it had rained, Mom would laugh and
Say, here, put your rainbows in this old Mason Jar, I giggled and when night
Came, I'd catch lightning bugs, let them play with my rainbows in that old jar
Then, I would shake that old mason jar hard, take off the top, Mom & I would

Sit, on the front porch swing and watch God's smile fly out to all the world
Those days, are still in my heart, rainbows and lightning bugs, I love them so,
Hey Mom, my daughter says, I'm catching rainbows and lightning bugs for
Grand-Ma, she smiles at me and ask, Mommy, can Grand-Ma see all the

Rainbows and lightning bugs, we let go tonight, can Grand-Ma see them all?
I pick her up into my arms and say to her..., see those rainbows fly, see those
Lightning bugs heading up to heaven? Yes, they make your Grand-Ma smile
As I set her down, remembering that old mason jar and what mom said to me
