Author: The Lost Girl
I heard that you existed,
Sometime long ago,
I guess I mustíve missed it,
When you said you had to go.
They say youíre still around here,
And you shine in others eyes,
Some say they feel you close and near,
But I guess itís all just lies.
I thought I felt you one night,
In a breeze under the tree,
And I thought you said itís alright,
So why have you let me?
I often reach for you,
When Iím crying all alone,
I often seek for something new,
But old pain is what Iím shown.
I used to hear your lovely sound,
When I spoke to a certain friend,
But this friend is separation bound,
And your voice, it now will end.
Happiness, I need you here,
I need your peaceful care.
Happiness, take away my fear,
Let me know that you are there.

I had to read your poem twice, after I figured out the ending. Truly amazing...Your words are so true, they touch people, they hit them deep, and they never leave that person. Thank you
