Memories

I still see your face
The longing in those brilliant blue eyes
Creases forming round the corners
Traces of the laughter we once shared

The timbre of your voice still rings within my ears
Gentle and as deep as the words that flowed from eager lips
The curvature of your mouth
As we surrendered to one more long and loving kiss

I still feel your arms
As they held me close
Throughout the cold and endless nights
Bodies pressed tightly together
Feeling the warmth you wrapped me in

The scent of cologne still lingers in the air
As I lie alone
Lost in the comforting embrace
We once shared
