She sent a letter,
Not handwritten, simply electronic,
She didn’t care about me,
All in all, it was simply ironic,
She said she never liked me,
She liked telling people she had a boyfriend,
Cracked and crushed,
What a way for this to end,

I said I loved you,
And I meant it,

She wrote it down,
So I wouldn’t have to hear it,
She shattered my entire soul,
Just to break my spirit,

Years later,
I visit the place we spent so many nights,
Remembering the simple things,
Wish I had those simple things tonight,
You said you didn’t want me,
You never did anyway,
You said I love you,
Ended every conversation, every day,

I said I loved you,
And I meant it,

She wrote it down,
So I wouldn’t have to hear it,
She shattered my entire soul,
Just to break my spirit,
Break my spirit.

I remember you made a comment about this in one of your poems a while back. Don't worry though. There are a whole lot of females in this world to choose from. :)

By the way, I'm enjoying the rhymes man!
Fab poem!
