Missing You
Author: Catyrose

I miss your smile
How I wish I could see your face for just a little while
I miss our talks
The conversations that would last till almost dawn
As we politely stifled one more yawn
I miss our coffee in the mornings
Sharing tidbits of gossip and news
Visiting and chasing away each others blues
I miss your shoulder to cry on
When times were tough
When we both vowed wed had enough
I miss your hand to hold
Sharing stories only we two could know
Of other times when we werent quite so old
I miss your letters in the mail
The jokes wed share
The way we laughed
Living life without a care
I miss your voice on the phone
The smile Id hear behind your gentle tone
Friends weve been for many a year
Close it seems until lately, dear
Life moves on in a frantic pace
It appears we both have been caught up in this race
Time to slow down
And tend to matters of the heart
I beg you please, dont let us drift apart

Time stands still for friends who wait,
Time will give itself for friends of the heart,

What can I say apart from these words are great,
your 'H' friend
