Something's been driving me, forcing me to stay
In the house past the river up the hills through the way
There was a fire in the attic and it spread all through the house
It killed everyone inside including the owner and his spouse
How the house still stands, no one can explain
But everytime someone nears they all collapse in pain
One time a demo team went inside to tear it down
Three of them had died as they fell upon the ground

No one could explain how this all was taking place
But there's a picture of the house where a window has a face
The face was of a girl that died fifty years ago
But she looked as she did back then up in the window
She's the one that's seen the most in reflections through the home
Sometimes you hear her wispering when you pick up the phone
She says that you're in danger and you should run away
She said that he is coming and he'll kill and make you pay

So now I'm scared, all alone, in this house, with no phone
And a whisper in my ear sent chills to my bone
This doesn't seem right, I heard footsteps hit the floor
There's a creaking in the hallway so I turned toward the door
A body's in the hallway and it's floating with red eyes
Some blood ran down it's head but then I heard a woman's cries
The ghost faded away, where it was is now a chest
Maybe I need to look inside so the ghosts can finally rest

The keyhole had a key so I turned it to the right
The second that I did that all the day faded to night
A breeze swirled around me, and the lid started to crack
I lifted the lid, and now there was no turning back
Inside was a book that was coated all in dust
A buckle held it closed, the metal was all rust
I blew off all the dust, but what does it mean?
The cover had a symbol and it said just D thirteen
