The Most Influential Person In My Life,
25 June, 2006
Author: Clive B Ringshall
The most influential person in my life,
My Gran
Although I knew she was in pain and discomfort, and in my heart know she is in a far better place now.
The pain I feel inside is mixed with so many emotions as I type these words
Knowing the place I called home has gone now far from home.
I’m left with feelings of emptiness and memories that continue to control my emotions. Floods of Tears that disappear from my face appear just as quick without cause or warning.
Are these feelings just a selfish emotion?
Even though I have not seen my Gran for some years I’ll miss not hearing her voice,
I will miss the feeling of her facial hairs each time I’d kiss her,
I’ll miss her voice, which installed a sense of who I am, were I came from.
I’ll miss your smell, a smell of love and everything you are.
I’ll miss here hugs as small as she was they were tight and enveloped feelings of security around my heart I’d know everything would be alright.
I’ll miss the games of scrabble I never wanted to play, that she’d always let me win.
I’ll miss seeing her smile each time she saw a grandchild visit.
I’ll miss her aliments
I’m going to miss my gran not being there.
I miss you gran
