Jack The Ripper
Author: Rick Ryckman

A surviving trace from something left over.
To think about again, in the youthfulness of mid-life!
Beneath the threshold ---- wandering beyond limits.
Wrapped in the dark velvet midnight blue of night.
As I have faltered ---- to trip ---- and almost fall.
There is always a brief flash of light guiding me through my tunnel of scorn or anger.
There within lies a threatening or haunting possibility.
In a stream of twilight she comes coasting from my mind.
The light is growing dim!
I call to her ---- and in the echoes whisper she is gone.
My rain falls to treat me mercifully.
I hide behind the colors of the night.
