Listen To The Wind
12 November, 2006
Author: Catyrose
As the autumn leaves
Fall feather-like to the ground
All has begun to change
Colors of green
Give way to bright red and yellow hues
Vibrant variations of nature’s on-going theme
New beginnings in store
A transformation begins to take place
Inside and out
Beliefs once held true
Are tossed and twirled about
As God’s creation
It’s time to yield
To the natural process
Designed to heal and restore
Oh, to be nothing more than a leaf
Falling effortlessly to the ground
Free of earthly cares
Bound by burdens we humans create for ourselves
Higher beings create chaos
The natural world produces a sense of order
Her message is carried on the wind
Simplicity, mother earth offers us
She speaks to us of harmony
And love built on solid ground
Not shifting sands
Of trust built on her constant and predictable nature
There are lessons to be learned
Pause, go within
Listen ever so carefully to the message carried on the wind
