She Holds The Gleaming Sword

The rain clatters upon the cobblestones.
The endless stars of the dark night shine.
She has come to sing me a unique song.
Her wings open gently and surrender.
I can feel her warm symphony that envelops me.
I have tasted the nectar from her essence.
Where fantasies ride on wings and take flight.
Slipping beneath the dark canopy kissing my crown.
My feelings of elation are soaring.
I feel brilliant colors changing slowly.
You have sprinkled gold dust upon my dreams.
My soul is consumed in timeless wonder.

I've noticed

...that you have another website; a poetry site for veterans who've served in the military such as yourself. I tell you, you can definitely write. I take it that you've written a lot of poems while you were out to sea?

All in all, very beautiful poem. It's breath-taking, just like the rest.

Hi Meridian,
Yes the first site I ever found when I came on the internet about 5 years ago.
That was takening poems - was the iwvpa.
It is a very difficult and mind taxing to wrtie about war or our expierences.
So the last poem I wrote was TRIP ---- WIRE.
I gave it my all!!!!
I said I would never write another war poem and so far I have not!
Yes I have been writting for well over 50 years!
Thank you for your very kind words.
For they have touched my heart in a very kind way.
