The Forrest Of Glee Part 3
I’ve been here quite a while
My dear family and friends,
We’ve cared for each other
I hope not to offend.
For you have been so good to me,
But I have a true love, across the sea.
A sad day it was when we said, “goodbye.”
To think of her now, brings a tear to my eye.
I promised to her, one day to return
With her memory, how my heart it does yearn.
She gave me the coin on the chain of gold
And made a promise to me,
She’d love me forever, and I’d be in her prayers,
Till the Lord brought me safe from the sea.
They gathered around, at the base of the tree
To say to the traveler, “goodbye.”
And there was the King of the Forrest of Glee,
With his limbs reaching up to the sky.
On one limb hung the coin, on the chain of gold
It was glistening there in the sun.
He placed it on the traveler’s neck
And so gave back the ransom he’d won.
Come back again, my traveling friend
You’re welcome here you see.
We care for you so, we want you to know
You’re one of the Forrest of Glee.

I hope this goes on as long as "Gunsmoke".
I don't think it'll ever get too old.
I'm anxious for the introduction of the leading lady.
