Listening And Hearing Too
19 May, 2008
Author: Clive B Ringshall
As you talk, communicating with me,
Hear my story and you shall see,
When it’s commands you bark out loud,
I do not hear the words you find,
When you ask of me with a simple please,
I hear your words with much delight,
If you write a letter all nice,
I’ll read each word with much delight,
If I read the letter with fright,
I’ll put it down and get to it whenever,
When you call me on the phone,
I’ll pick it up with much delight,
If I hear your tone all cross and might,
I’ll hang it up and call whenever,
If you were to call and speak all nice
I’ll listen to your talk with much delight,
We communicate all day without hearing a word
Why would that be when I listen to you?
I tell you clear I listen to every word,
You reply but my dear did you hear them too,
Listen to my words and my body too,
If actions are present then them as well.
Remember whoever you maybe,
If my words you do not understand your way,
Ask me, and again I’ll repeat them clear.
