Mixed Feelings And Contrasts: Poems 1 To 5

These emotions are conveyed on every face
revealing the soul of the human race
with honor and sorrow in such a short space
You can't have pride without disgrace!

--

Illness and hatred determines our fate.
There's plagues and insanity but it's not too late
as a balance to this life is a much needed hymn
when cheerfulness offers us the flip side of grim!

--

With an industry of conspiracy that's all too real
certain parties are mute and prefer to conceal
when more questions than answers are imposed
upon the facts which are never disclosed!

--

For wine, women and merriment of song
Rasputin could afford to do no wrong
with considerable gall and genuine aplomb
at his website known as Mad Monk.com!

--

No one bothered to look up there before.
The thought of painting the ceiling became a chore
for a man whose bad back was forever more
when Michelangelo passed out on the Sistine floor!

Mixed Feelings And Contrasts: Poems 1 To 5

So true of the first verse , eyes are the windows of the soul and eyes can reveal so much
I love the sense of humour in those last two verses
