From The Earth We Rise, Into The Earth We Fall
16 April, 2009
Author: Miztrebor
I.
I am a wall
Built out of the earth
Formed and dried
Brick by brick
Lifted and laid
Mortared and set
I am a wall
II.
I am the ivy
Grown through the soil
Year I creep and year I creep
Attaching myself deeper and deeper
Day in and day out
I am the ivy
III.
I am a wall
I am the ivy
Together we serve a purpose
I’ve been built from the earth
To stand strong and not fall
I’ve grown through the soil
To take back earth into earth
Together we are death
Together we are life
We came from the earth
We go into the earth
I was the ivy
I was a wall

Miz Trebor (Robert Zimmermann) (72.230.75.119) -- Friday, April 17 2009, 01:04 am Nature is the force not i. I can not take credit for the works of nature. It just engulfs me and flows through my pen. Apollo and Nature guide my words. And as usual thank you. |
Colin (69.157.8.65) -- Friday, April 17 2009, 02:24 am To Robert Zimmermann (Bob Dylan's former name): I walked along the beach just before sunset and I had a pure moment of bliss - you could hear the silence! Nature guides the path in my life also! |
Miz Trebor (Robert Zimmermann) (72.230.75.119) -- Friday, April 17 2009, 03:38 am Sadly i was not named after the great Dylan. It was actually an after being named that a nurse asked my parents if they had named me after him, and they were like "we didn't think about that." It's also sad that only my teachers realize who shared my name, not many of my peers. |

Colin (65.92.47.22) -- Friday, April 17 2009, 03:55 am well then it's a honour to meet the namesake of the great Bob Dylan! By the way my favourite album of all time is the soundtrack to PAT GARRETT AND BILLY THE KID by 'who know who' - and it's evocative atmospheric music that you can play at a funeral or a wedding! Music dosen't often have that tender duality! |
Miz Trebor (Robert Zimmermann) (72.230.75.119) -- Friday, April 17 2009, 04:04 am the is very interesting and seems to go along the same lines as this poem. Life and Death together. |
Colin (65.92.47.22) -- Friday, April 17 2009, 04:12 am if we are knocking on heaven's door - then it is the one we walk through on earth ... because heaven and hell is all here for us during our time on this planet - and it's up to us as to what one we choose! |
