The Genes Of Horror And Fantasy: Poems 1 To 5
Author: Colin Stewart
The blood which flowed and stained the sheets
is why she's here and frequently greets
the frightened barrister at the foot of his bed
as a reminder of what it's like to be dead!
Big gun and the little man!
All of the animals got up and ran.
Took careful aim at the baby's mother.
In retrospect he misses his brother!
The antithesis of what is considered sublime
it provided a scandalous coup for its time
when Mozart fell into a psychedelic daze
as he inspired the prelude to Purple Haze!
Seeking an ideal companion was taking its toll
but the naive princess accepted her role
that a sacrificial kiss would reveal the inner soul
of an ogre she downsized to a troll!
My sweetheart could not suppress her cries
and now she's hid behind the disguise
of serving a dark side without compromise
when Lucifer looked into her sunken eyes!
