The Puzzlement Of The Aberrant Mind: Poems 1 To 5

Trying to colonize planet earth
is perhaps more trouble than it's worth.
The inhabitants are even hostile towards their own
and that's why aliens have left them alone!

--

The variables of the blues are so diverse
although humanity is plagued by the ultimate curse
and just when it can't get any worse
the aging process dosen't go in reverse!

--

They walk silently among us and manage to hide
a calm exterior which is burning inside
and in solemn detachment with little regard
a corpse will be left as their next calling card!

--

This goodwill ambassador brings laughter and cheer
until grease paint is removed from his veneer
and because a smile is subverted by a frown
you'll never understand the pathos of a clown!

--

A memory came back the other day
when a scent reminded him of the way
her hair would gently caress his face
as he was making the turn at third base!
