The Plague Of The Human Bane: Poems 1 To 5

The Oedipus complex left him annoyed.
The Electra complex would be best to avoid
as a neurotic childhood hurt Sigmund Freud
leaving him speechless and in a big black void!

--

Standing on her toes behind this glass
is a permanent bane and a pain in the ass.
The feeling of torpor shall never pass
when the porcelain ballerina is conducting class!

--

With the deathless consent of a snake charmer
the ladies man tried not to alarm her
and with immoral turpitude he went in for the kill
by asking her politely to pick up the bill!

--

It made perfect sense when the inner circle spoke.
These thoughts and ideas could only provoke
a cataclysmic turning of the cultural tide
but their vernacular meant nothing to those outside!

--

Panache and bravado gave him a right
to dress in shining armor as a knight
and summon the courage with an unwavering might
to run for his life from any fight!
