Always More Questions Than Answers: 5 Poems

Up above we see the bluebirds fly.
In the crib we hear the babies cry
and for all living creatures their time is due
with the call to nature known as Number 2!

--

There's an awkward moment of saying goodbye
as you hold back the tears but wish to cry
when two emotions collide and they're not discreet
in this merging between the bitter and the sweet!

--

It's been slow in coming and long overdue
but from beyond the grave I still love you
and these flowers I've picked are a clue
when pushing up the daisies just for you!

--

A horror not known and only implied
as a hollow word with nothing inside
and alot of good people would be denied
if cancer got up to run and hide!

--

This dubious poll offers no rhyme or reason
in the promotion of yet another silly season
when the elasticity of the truth has prompted some fears
courtesy of the saturated sponge between our ears!
