Out Of This World: 5 Poems
15 September, 2009
Author: Colin Stewart
In this impenetrable galaxy man is not alone
so with a little conjecture we must atone
as I gazed at the stars but could not see
someone else up above looking down on me!
---
He was perplexed with our moods in which we couldn't deny.
All over the world people were forced to cry
and foreign was this need for him to get by.
On his planet their emotions had already run dry!
---
Silence is golden on the face of the moon
but a space station will be arriving very soon.
'American Idol' knew the sound of a baboon
and evicted those who could not carry a tune!
---
The atmosphere had made it difficult to breathe
so with godspeed we were forced to leave
for the final frontier beyond our backyard
and in valiant search of our missing trump card!
---
Human attraction does not toe the line
and is based on the theory of a mysterious design
which connects both sexes and where they fall
with the random drop of a numbered ball!
