Resisting The Change Of Old Familiar Ways: 5 Poems

Armageddon eliminated the family tree
so procreation became the essential key
and the only choice is really sad
for the last two survivors who share the same Dad!

---

They came to study the human brain.
They noticed all dialogue was a strain
and communication was an ineffective tool
between the wise man and the fool!

---

With this emotional context of a time and place
our hearts and minds will always embrace
as the human spirit continues to fly
through the memory of the songs which made us cry!

---

Countless generations may come and go
as behavioral science dictates the flow
and certain patterns will never betray
the fact that human nature is here to stay!

---

The banality of man's existence got this far
as you sit here and wait in your car
entrapped by the temptation of having to fight
from picking your nose at a traffic stoplight!

The more we change, the more we stay the same...
