Time is stopped by the clock on the wall
and just as you think we've seen it all
enlightenment has replaced the pervasive gloom
and our spirits are lifted when she enters the room!

---

If earth cannot be what it should be
let's get out and see what we can see.
Surely good news waits for us in outer space
because one day we'll have to leave this place!

---

He has walked this way so many times before
although he never enters through the front door
and the long drafty corridor always interferes
with every thought process between his ears!

---

His eyes were trained on her to see
how good a girl that she could be
and this intrusion of privacy wouldn't leave her alone
in a world she thought was her own!

---

With their precious young lives put on a daily trial
they have even forgot how to smile
when rampant hunger never goes out of style
so good lord how long has he been in denial?
