When Everything Is Relative (or So They Say): 5 Poems
22 November, 2009
Author: Colin Stewart
They were lovingly cultivated in so many ways
with words of encouragement and daily praise.
You are the reason why standards will raise.
Beauty was lucky to be adorned by your gaze!
---
All the stars in this universe left it to fate.
Their conference ended early with little debate
if astrological alignment had carried any clout
as these humans were too hard to figure out!
---
The darkness of her apartment betrayed the light
which danced outside in mid-day delight
but today the sun shall be denied.
A crime scene waits to be discovered inside!
---
To expand your mind and the horizons within
you must accept diversity and a kaleidoscopic spin
but beauty was lost in this degenerate art
so the Nazi ideal cut out its heart!
---
The question in residence which many of us fear
is present everyday when we arrive here
and they pay no heed because you fret
that ghosts may patrol the internet!
