Thanksgiving Is A Holiday, Giving Thanks Is An All-time Affair

Rolled out of bed this morning
And went for the bathroom
I sat on the closed commode
Half-dead, teeth un-brushed,
Hair uncombed,
And began to wonder
When I see all that turkey and ham
Stuffing, cranberry sauce,
Sweet potatoes, macaroni and cheese
And other foods and snacks
Packed away in the fridge, and elsewhere
I wonder
What is there to complain about?

I look and see the covers unfolded
Peep out of the blinds at the Chevy and the Ford
Check out my library of shoes
- My clothes behind cupboards and drawers
Wires hanging, connecting to mics, a Bluetooth
Headphones, a keyboard, PC, laptop, a TV, etc.
- The fan blowing the pink curtain slantways
And wonder
What is there to complain about?

I want more. Yes. I want to own.
Sufficient income-wise
But, until my goals are reached,
I can occupy my time constructively
And be thankful for what I have
Coz there are those who truly have not

we should be.....

..we should be thankful for our DAILY blessings.... Another thought provoking read to stimulate my mind!

Exactly

It's so easy to forget your blessings. Thank God for each and every one.

truely a good message

Yes we have troubles ,but at least we have food a roof over our head, some don't even have that.so we are one of the lucky ones,no matter what we think.

Right

It makes you appreciate the beans and franks and the alphabet soup in the cabinet. Part of my prayer is for everyone to be blessed; nationwide and worldwide.

kind thinking

Wouldn't it be perfect if everyone had food and shelter instead of starvation and homelessness

I know

Yes it would.
