In The Nature Of Your Very Soul: 5 Poems

Man was consumed with the art of the deal
as the history of commerce would soon reveal
if progress could flex its mass appeal
by perfecting the shape of the wheel!

------

These complications leave you in a bind
with the soggy state of your mind
and this sponge which sits between your ears
is the reason why it never clears!

-------

In this factory produced without consent
the assembly line will not relent
when manufacturing these missing screws
and the man-made notion of the blues!

-------

Your blood is life and a decadent feast
for a soul who dines like a savage beast
and death is my witness in a vampire's lair
upon the stark reflection of your blank stare.

-------

Beyond the colors of this rainbow
is why a child will only know
that some places an adult can never go
and explore the innocence of their soul.

There are blues in a rainbow too.

If we can avoid the savage beasts who would dine on our goodness and life force, we can all eventually emerge from a state of vulnerability and depression and go beyond the colors of the rainbow to see the untouched innocence and positive side of life and living.

Good write.
