In The Still Of Night
18 February, 2010
Author: Elizabeth Squires
In the still of night
When the stars are ablaze
The elves and gnomes
Come out to play
They scamper and scurry
All full of verve
As the cattle and sheep
Take nightly preserve
Old man moon chuckles
At these funny wee guys
Skipping and gooning
In front of his eyes
On my pillow they do play
As the night slips slowly away
