Broken And Scarred, Yet Still Trying Without Rhyme Or Reason

i need to learn to hold it back
this heart of mine
when i turn it loose
what i end up with is one of two things
an awkward "just friends" relationship
or just another scar
i'm coming to learn
that love is for fools
of which i may be the greatest
my willingness to love
has always gotten me hurt
it has left my heart dark
and scarred
but it keeps loving
too fast
and too strong
i don't get it
why do i let me do this to myself?
why do i leave myself so open to the pain?
it only breaks me more
and seems to make me fall harder every time
and every time i fall
my heart hits the ground
and shatters once again
still i pick up the pieces
and foolishly fall again
always so soon
and as of yet without a positive outcome
but i can't bring myself to give up hope
or to hold my heart back

.......

the heart may be likened to the roads throughout the land... very necessary, but subject to cracks and holes and breaks that constantly need attention and repair... you cannot stop building roads... you must therefore accept the need to watch them and repair or replace the pieces as needed.

Too deep

This is deeeper than it is...And i bet u only trying to make the words suitable enough...The fact that you fall in such world as powerful as Love can be a blessing and healing scalp that tides your Heart together when it gets shattered...Do not ask why ever you fall in love...One day, it'll stay forever! Trust Me...
