Yes Mr. Key, it is still waving, it has waved through many battles since you asked. There have been a few stars added to it, which proves that all of us are united. We salute our flag every day, while we go to school, and we always pledge alegeince to it. and when we are grown the men take their hats off and the women put their hand over their heart, as our flag goes by. Yes Mr. Key, we are Americans and we will keep our flag waving through eternity. And you ask, is it still waving? We Americans have proved it is. And always will. For we are Americans, and we stand by our red white and blue. There will be more stars, and the stripes will get broader. But our flag will always wave. Mr. Key, you wrote a great song, we use it for America's national anthemn, But never ask, does it still wave.

No enemy of our country has ever landed on our soil, since you wrote that beautiful song. the closest one has come was when a sneak attack sunk many of our ships in what we now call Pearl Harbor, in what we now call the Hawaiian Islands, in your day Mr. Key they were known as the Sandwich Islands. As our ships went down our flag was still waving. As our country went futher into the war, a small island in the pacific ocean was captured by the enemy. after a long and furious battle, Four tired United States marines lifted our red white and blue. for the world to see our flag waving.

That war was called world war two. we have been in many wars, world war one, our flag waved over Gemany in triumph. In Korea we led all of the free world against comunism, and were proud to have our flag waving, We tried to help our allies as promised in Viet Naam, we fought there for many years, and left with our heads high and our flag still waving.

Now on September the eleventh. The worst act of terror happened to this grand country. Two flying machines flew into very large buildings, killing six thousand people, and another one crashed into our milatary headquarters in our capital city. In both places the flag still waves, showing the world we are proud to be Americans.

Yes Mr. Key our flag is and always will wave over the place we love.
