Miles In An Old Man's Shoes

A forgotten longing for zest slumbering in a cranny at a home. Prosper has no value for this once still loved man. When he stares out their window, he is not alone, while the hurt is still in him. Looking back in his memories he doesn't shrug or tear. He watches the last goose peep over the pinnacle of a mountain top. The trees autumn color a friendly reminder of his family's love. The nurse cleans the dirty window on time as always. A gentle whisper of his past wife brings him home to another time. Life fades as he falls asleep and knows he is where he belongs.
