Things Are More Than What They Appear
30 July, 2011
Author: Meridian Zuriel
People ain't always what they appear to be
Dressing one way and acting differently
Saying one thing and going contrary
Against what they say they're against
Don't make no sense
That's why it's vital to
Open that book up and read it for yourself
Before you judge its outside appearance
Because appearance means nothing
You gotta go home with someone to
Know what they're like
Seeing 'em, when you see 'em
Is what you see
But the minute they depart,
You don't know their personality
You don't know who they are, what they say,
How they live, what they do
If you were me and I were you
Then we'd both get a clue
And not be fooled by the style of dress
The mannerisms and courteousness
They may not be about what they claim to be
Be careful who you call an epitome
The very ones you think are goody, goody and classy
Have more than just that one identity
