The dark wall that clouded my judgement every step I took, you walked through unscathed and carried me home.

Those nights that from one minute to the next, had no meaning, or purpose, and were numb to the core with a bitter taste of something very cold and sour , you grabbed a hold of my hands and led me away from that person I was becoming.

You created a whole new meaning to the words calming the storm.

Took my heart, made it beat the way yours did, in rhythm and with one another.

The million times the first Month I spent with you, where you didn't have to do anything, but look up at me, many of those times we were outside in the sun, your blonde wavy hair, your blue eyes, and my heart, racing faster than it ever has before. And going on 7 years you still do this to me each and every day.

Comfortable.

A stop, in your tracks, when I slipped out that word that people mistakenly use so much, though that word with the right meaning will never get annoying to hear.

When I met your grandparents, their 50th anniversary, how I prayed that someday we'd be dancing, surrounded by loved ones, overwhelmed by emotion, frozen in time.

Your sense of humor

My safety net, my loving arms, what warms my soul, and keeps me going.

The simplicity of it all is astounding, like no matter what, we were going to meet, time was going to fly, we were going to make a life together, and nothing, no matter how big, was going to stand in front of that.

Our pasts withering away, and our present future blending so perfectly.

Stopping, smelling the rain, something as little as a leaf, falling to soon from a tree, i notice things like this because of you.

My every day life, no matter what happens, I am safe because I have you.

You made me realize that the finer things in life definitely do not come from having money, they come from seeing you on a rainy day in the pasture, or just how hard we work together on anything we attempt to accomplish. Creating smiles where they didn't exist in time

Nothing, is impossible with us.

what you've opened my eyes too...

I'll never stop thinking back to the days when we first met and why i fell in love with you, because it reminds me of our growth, it reminds me of who we are, and how we make each other better people.

I promise not to forget the memories, the stolen glances, the soft spoken words, the whisper of I love you's before we fall asleep. Our insane love for animals, the way we look at life in a more simple, relaxed, but excited way.

Thank you Melissa, for being you

Very nice Luke!

A very enjoyable read. As if I was reading about my own. Thanks for sharing, and hang on to those feeling and thoughts, as you grow older together.
