From Pretty Snow To Slush - Be Mindful Or Film

at the infamous bus stop
with no shelter
and at the most drab uninspiring spot

a snow fall
of beauteous flakes
fell gracefully onto the dullness
masking the harshness and
depressive environs -

a movie scene
of powdery wonder landing
on the people waiting in line -
so wondrous was the occurrence
of opulent display
that a lady exclaimed out loud
how splendid it was -

and so on the slow bus
taking detours due to never ending
constructions -
it was challenging to watch the lavish
city forests laden with white powder
and not being able to photograph -
and the frustrating endless ride
of stop and go -
ephemeral moments seem hard to fully enjoy -
to capture the moment in memory
and experience - to feel and breathe it -
and yet - i grasped with the tensions
of looking with wonder as well as frustration -
snow was turning into heavy snow
and then almost rain and
within an hour the branches were brownish again and
the sidewalks and streets became full of brown puddles
and cars splashed small balls of muddy grit -

yet in between the grand show and the mess of slush
i was able to capture on film
many photos of the in between scenes -
and so - the dilemma of photo and experience and
balance continues
and yes
even
writing about it
makes me wonder ?
