Thankfully I Am 71 Years Old...

I'm 71. Never, in all my time on this earth, have I ever seen such bullshit by people aimed at being extremely negative toward the office of our President.

Regardless if you like or dislike the office holder, we have always, in the past, honored the office itself, and we never acted like people are acting today.

This is not only saddening, but it is disgusting.

I am neither Democrat or Republican, and a good reason for that is that I do not agree with either side in the way they are acting and verbalizing their attitudes - they are like a school of piranhas, and while it would probably take 300 to 500 piranhas five minutes to strip the flesh off a 180-pound human, they can't actually do that (or they might try), so they are all working as much as they can to disparage the man, and the office itself is being blackened as a result, and our country is being torn asunder in the eyes of the world as well, due to the way our citizens are acting.

We are our own worst enemy, and everyone thinks they are right and are justified to act this way?

No one, it seems, is worthy of being called a citizen of this great country, as long as they behave this way.

But who am I to say such things?

I'm only an olde pharte and my thoughts mean nothing to anyone who thinks they are right and that everything is wrong.

Sad to learn that only the idiots are heard any more - but the media is guilty in pushing that agenda, as well. I feel a bit of worry for my granddaughter, who will grow up with this kind of background of rabble-rousers setting the stage for how life will be in the future.

I am fortunate, in that I doubt that I will be around for too many years more, but you may be, and certainly all of these idiots who have strutted and screamed and made asses of themselves will be - and when it all goes down the toilet, what will they say or think or do then? And will they even understand that they can only blame themselves for the way things turn out? There will be no safe spaces then.

too soon....

Too soon most of us will not have to worry about this or be concerned any more at all. It will be to the others to take up the mission and the torch and the flag. I would not mind being one of them, but it is not possible any longer. I just pray that those who assume our places in the ranks are worthy and understand their duties and are able to do us proud by their response to the call they must answer.
