your Grandma Mudge,
when she was a bit younger,
she sure 'nuff wore miniskirts, go-go boots, and drove a Plythouth Badass Fury, AKA a GTX 440 Road Runner....
soft blue, lotsa chrome,
and a smooth Police Interceptor Engine that didn't know the word "quit."
And she KNEW how to drive that thing, too!
Hell, she could drive it over roads she couldn't see,
but she knew was there, even if they were two feet down under all that snow.
She didn't care, none.
One time she left Syracuse and got home faster than when she drove that road earlier in good weather!
Nearly 90 miles, in dry weather.... she did it in less than a hour, too!
She was that good.
Scared me, some, she did, what with how she could, and would, drive that thing!
Oh, but she was GOOD!, lemme tell ya!
She knew where to put the gas in the back, the gear shift in the middle, and the foot into the carberator up front.
Told you she was good, didn’ I?
Well, she was.
Just no ever gettin’ ‘round it.
She was.
Used to think that with my old ’57 Buick I was some kinda slick shit….
Hell – I just never ran up against a country girl with a GTX and an attitude before, is all.
I imagine that in a real race, back country roads and such,
she’d a killed me by the fourth serious curve.
‘Cause she was that good, back then.
Give her a chance again, today,
and she’ll still do it.
