I Hate Mondays Too
Author: Bench

When the rat race
Slows down to a snail's pace
Waking up in the arms
Of husbands or wives.

The bliss of brunches
Or of late lunches.
Catching up with the news
Or the book started a month ago.

And connecting with the kids
Talking about school and dates.
Picking up pieces of your life
And putting them together.

Only to be shattered once more
When Monday arrives...
