The Stars And Moon Feel My Pain
from my heart into my eyes
the heavy burden
of an eclipse formed in my heart
I think of the sayings
"Good things don't last forever"
"Something that good is too good to be true"
the first thing
I think of is you
and the family
I came to love
I quickly learned
and focus on
the little things called "life/death"
that i often took for granted
especially that fearful word
that enterd my ears
only to be abandoned
when it pertained
to lost hopes
and crushed dreams
every time I found comfort
I ended up losing that too
I fell in love with
has slowly decayed
today my heart fell to my knees
when your baby sisters e-mail
read that dad had died
I cannot begin to tell ya
how sadly I cried
immediately I thought of you
yet you are in a better place
folks are so right
I can't seem to put you to rest
but I felt so connected to you today
I felt a sense of reassurance
that dad wouldn't be lost
knowing that you and Ken meet
and greeted Dad w/loving arms
here i I sit silently
staring out the window
drowning in tears
creating my own visions
of the past
that came and gone
just like that
so quickly and so fast
somethings came quietly and unannounced
am I feeling sorry for myself?
am I gonna miss
not having dad around ?
am I gonna miss
his warm hugs and trusting smile?
even though at times
he didn't know who I was?
I wish you were
next to me just about now
to redirect me and
to share these feelings with
and listen to my silent aching soul
i wish you could hold me
and mend this bloodstained broken heart
because no matter whom the loss
I'm always directed straight to you
our connection has
helped you watch over their souls
and like each star up above
that watches all from up above
I too will watch you
from the balcony each night
from down below
i am in the need
for every raindrop
that falls tonight
was trapped in my heart
escape to give love
to another life...

How's life treating ya Terrie! "The Stars and The Moon Feel My Pain" is definitely an awesome piece of poetry. It's also a heart-felt poem about the thing we all hate, DEATH. I hope you find endurance and strength, and just remember........God will see you through!! I think you pretty much know the power of God's wonders!!
You have fun now! And continue to walk in the light!!
