Lamentations Of The Noldor: Of The Death Of Feanor
17 August, 2003
Author: Bench
In the wrath of Feanor
His enemies he pursued
Victory was almost tasted
As they set upon Morgoth's host.
But Angband was not to his knowledge
Unaware of its defences
Balrogs set upon Feamor
In the confines of Dor Daedeloth.
Long Feanor fought
Wrapped in the fire of his fury
Wounds abound his body
Smitten to his death by Gothmog, the Balrog lord.
His sons bore him up
But to no avail
Feanor's end was nigh
His quest not anymore in his hands.
So fiery was Feanor's spirit
His body fell to ash
His spirit borne away to Mandos
And now is the end of the mightiest of the Noldor.
