Sit down, relax, shut up and pay attention.
Pay attention
'cause you just might learn a lesson.
A lesson
is the freedom of expression.
Expression
brings a whole lot of depression.
Success,
feeling a mess and depressed,
physically, emotionally,
will not give me the ability
to put up with my life
or my everyday activity.
That's why I freestyle,
'cause freestyle makes me smile;
freestyle makes me cool and calm for a while,
so come on and listen
to the words that I've been twistin'
the beats that I've been hittin'
the lyrics that I've been spittin'
-hell no, I ain't quittin'
You can't silence the voice of our time
with rappin' and rhyme
while we hide in our prime,
in our mind,
walkin' that long thin line
of red tape
so they rape
us as a society
though we follow the map
and put up with the crap,
they never bother to see
or acknowledge me.
I can lose my life
at the drop of a dime,
I was force to lose
and live a life of crime,
I'm doing time
outside the prison walls,
in the halls,-
we must walk before we fall,
then we crawl
outside to see the sun,
first we run
then we laugh and play
all day
then we start to sing
home of the brave,
land of the free,
let freedom ring,
...let freedom ring.
