Insomnia
11 June, 2002
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)
I lay here in the darkness
Trying to fall asleep
But I watch the clock that's ticking
Each second it repeats
I know the morning's coming
As I breath deep trying to relax
Another night's insomnia
It's one of life's simple facts
I lay awake waiting
hoping I'll fall asleep
Until the birds start singing
And the sun, through my window, peeps
People wonder why it is
I tend to sleep all day
I wanted to sleep earlier
But my insomnia got in the way
