A Victim, Friend And True Love - A Tale Of Three
Author: Maranda Berkley

vinebar

Three girls resting
In a puddle of mud
Exhausted from the struggle
Of trying to be pure and clean of wrong
One girl a victim
One girl a friend
On girl a true love
But which girl is which
Is the girl who cuts her wrist, a victim
Or would that be the one she lies to
Or the one that has no clue what's going on
Is the girl who begged for a friend, a friend
Or would that be the one who is true and real
Or the one that suddenly showed up and stuck around
Is the girl who was so sweet and so kind at one time,
a true love
Or would that be the one who stood solid through
everything and didn't budge
Or the one that came into the picture one day later
Who is truly a victim
Who is truly a friend
Who is truly a love
I am your true love, your friend, and a victim of your
make
You are my true love, my friend, and a victim of my
fate
She...
She is not a victim, she only got what she wanted
She is not a true love, you'll find out it's fake
She is just a friend
But somehow she managed to cleanse herself
From the puddle of mud
And play the role of a crucified angel
To gain control of you and become all three
A victim, friend and true love
Taking you with her
Leaving me there in the mud, burdened
Alone, forever to be
