A Pinch Of Light, A Dash Of Love
17 April, 2003
Author: Justus Isaiah Richardson
In the beginning he said let there be light,
And there was light.
Then he created the sun and the moon,
And the day and night.
And he saw these things were good,
That they were meant to be.
Then he made the heavens and earth,
And the raging seas.
He filled the skies at night,
With the stars above.
And all these things he did,
He did out of love.
A pinch of light, a dash of love,
Went into our creation.
A pinch of light, a dash of love,
Ingredients for salvation.
In the beginning in his own image,
He made Adam and Eve.
Then a serpent came into the garden,
And they were deceived.
They ate the forbidden fruit,
That's how it all began.
And they were cast from paradise,
For the sins of man.
Then he sent his only son,
From heaven above.
And he died for our sins,
There's no greater love.
A pinch of light, a dash of love,
Went into our salvation.
A pinch of light, a dash of love,
Ingredients of creation.
