Only Human

Don’t know where to begin
But here goes,
I hope you understand
That I need some space
To breathe, to escape
Not trying to be mean
Nothing’s different about me
I’m still the same person
All I’m saying is
I need some privacy
I’ll still talk to you
And sit beside you
But, my friend, there are times when
I just wanna be alone
By myself, with no one else
Don’t take it personal,
Don’t take it the wrong way,
Don’t pay any attention to hearsay,
I’m still open; I’ll still lend you an ear
I’m still crazy, nothing’s changed here
I’m still friendly; I’m not your enemy
I’m only human, I have bad days too
I get annoyed and irritated, just like you
Please understand where I’m coming from
We can still crack jokes, hang out, and have fun
It’s natural to have mood swings,
To feel less sociable, or a little groggy
But I still love you, through all my ups and downs
So cheer up, smile for me, instead of wearing a frown

Yeah, I dedicated this to a friend in school, who is so friendly, he follows me everywhere I go.... Not that it's wrong, but sometimes I need to study for a test, and can't because he wants to talk.... So I can't be rude, but then again, I have to tell him gently, I need some time alone..... To be able to study, to think, to get my thoughts together, and I found that you can do these things when you're alone.... Just like my poem, sure, I'll chat with you, because I don't want to treat anyone the way I wouldn't want to be treated, so, I have to be cool..... Hhahhahaha...... My place is private onto my self, and Includes, my heart, which, I must share, with myself, else it and I become confused and just a puppent, of other;s emotion. I have a spirtt, with eagle's wings and sometimes, I fly so hign, I must come down and be with me, other wise, I learn nothing of my self, or where, I have sored, upon these wings! As I learn, this is good for my heart, to reach out, and Know, what I feel, sometimes, my self, needs to be alone, with me, we are frineds and lovers, never would I turn my back on love, but, sometimes, to love you more, I must, be with me, a lone, and sail upon my wings!
