I sat quietly looking out
my window
as I saw the memory
of you drift by

with tears in my eyes
of a pain that was killing
my heart
it stung so hard
it pierced so deep

the thought that i was
unable to keep you near
for your mission
was complete
and you had to continue
to move on

I never thought
that my tears
would be controlling
my feelings that I have

these tears have known
where I've been
with you
and where we were heading to

all my love was for you
but today I watch with tears
in my eyes as you roll on by
past my window

and fade into the sunset
that we used to share
every night as we made love
under the big willow tree..

with tears in my eyes
i close them so tight
and
i wish i could wish you right back...

love held loosly breaths and survives love held tightly dies and is lost within the tears love does survive hugs/love my friend
