A heavenly chill I got
as I stood above your plot
I do not come as often as I used to
I come and sit by your head-stone on your anniversary ,
our anniversary and other
special occasions that were shared by you and i
I still carry you deep in the thoughts of my heart
as I look around and focus on the many folks
visiting their loved ones today
I see the spirits of the winged angels of those gone before us
standing behind their loved ones
as they stand or sit over their graves as I do with you

you all were taken away, way too soon
and you have been gone too long from my life
a life that you should of remained a part of
with the help of God I have learned to move on
it wasn't easy I'll tell you that
I meet a lot of challenges along the way
I learned to be tough
I learned to be strong
I'm still weak
but...
for myself I am able to speak
I admit
I felt cheated in this life
I felt that life
was being so unfair
hardest part
is leaving you here
in this cold lonesome place
as I return and walk away
to a colder place at home
where there is no one there to love
at least now I know you are not alone
the spirits
of many other loved ones are amomg those
that gather with you each night
and pray for those of us
whom you all left behind...
