Just, Loving, You
Author: ShyHeart

Another night, I tossed, turned and wrestled, through
Couldn’t seem, to find the “Sand Man,” then, the sun
Came back again, one day is gone in restless, darkness,
Suddenly, another day begins, with your love, in my heart

Another day, of wondering, how much more, can our heart’s take
Why do we love, each other, the way we do? Back to work
Damn, it almost, breaks my heart, I need you, are you a dream?
When I was sixteen, I dreamed of you, how much more, can we take

We are much, older now, still the dreams we had, we share,
Will we ever, find each other, the football game is over, then
We go home, pull our hearts, over our eyes and wait, for the Sunrise
Forty years later, we still, you and I, cover our eyes, at night

God, I love the sunrise, I see her, to this day, she was, my prom queen
I was the Captain, of the football team, no, not really, its just part of my dream
Where does time go, why are we required, to follow so many years, later?
I always, wanted you, heard, the other day, you died, of breast cancer

Still, after all this time. I remember, the high school prom
You, were the queen, I was the captain, of the football, team
I love you to this day, sorry to hear, you had passed away
When, I heard the news, all I remember was…,

“Just Loving You”
