(in honor of all Veterans and our two sons..)

I tell you before I begin
heavily I do weep
for the many that have given their life
to provide freedom for me

as I think of the two young brave Marines
from my hometown
every life lost becomes a part of us all
two brave Marines Jared & Jeremiah
ages 21 and 22
were recently killed
on an Iraqi battlefield

attacked ,by the enemy
while on a mission
yes.. tears roll down my face

as I feel the warmth
of yours rolling down too
just no way
that they could not have made an impact
on a strangers life.

they were there
for all of us

I think of them
I think of my own son
and how thankful I am
to be able to say good night and
I can wake up every morning
and give him a hug
and tell him
how much I love and appreciate him

i think of them
i think of the man that i love
and tell him the same
and how greatful that he came home alive..
i can hold him through the night and
feel blessed that he came home to me..
as i let him know how much
i love, respect and appreciate him too..

I think of the battlefields
where these young men and women
volunteer to go
and shedd their blood
for the red ,white and blue

I think of the many
unknown markers
I think of the many
veterans of war
I think of the many
young men and women
still youths lost to death

i think of the parents
and the heavyness of their heart
i think of the tears that will never stop
i think of the memories that will haunt them
i think of the love that they will spread
even though the boys were pronounced dead
they pass on the love and passion
that their sons had deep in their heart

pray for the parents
of the children that die
pray for the parents that continue to cry
every tear that they shedd
we feel upon our heart

please join with me in silence......

Thank you.....

having a son same age
God knows
if I was to lose him
my life would fade away
that’s why I ask you all
after you finish reading this
please join with me in prayer
for these young Marines..
and the many whoms lifes' were lost...
and for their parents if we could turn back time
we'd have had it done in a heart beat,,

I cry every time
I see the marker of an unknown Veteran
that reads
"HERE RESTS IN HONORED GLORY
A COMRADE IN ARMS
KNOWN BUT TO GOD"

on a wall well known
are recorded names
of those that paid the ultimate price
for freedom

they served their country
by giving their lives
and they too now sleep in unknown graves

Arlington Cemetery brings me tears
of the many that are buried there

the many white crosses
brings me a vision
of them standing tall and proud saluting
creating a wall
to keep harm away from us
their promise
to make sure
that we were all well protected
and we were...
but who was there to protect them?

we question death like it was inevitable
as much as we would like it to be

On Thursday Nov. 11, 04
we will be honoring
the many Veterans that have gone and will always be remembered
as well as those that we have among us
whom we owe great deep respect and honor
we are Blessed to have them with us today
WE APPRECIATE YOU ALL....

WE LOVE YOU...
we stand proud and tall in honor of you..
